Friendship Class

Who is Invited to Attend?

We are always looking for more Friends to join our night of worship and fellowship! We also are in need for more mentors! If you're looking for a place to volunteer where you can change someone's life, look no further!

For more information, contact Director of Outreach, Brendon De Boer at his email:   or phone: (605) 371-1597.

What is Friendship Class?

Friendship Class is a group for adults and teens with intellectual disabilities. It's a great time of fellowship, Bible study, prayer, music, and snacks.

Where is Friendship Held?

Friendship Class is held at Shalom CRC. We have worship in our sanctuary and then move to our Family Center for a time of fellowship and snacks! If you need help finding the church, click here to access our location on Google Maps!

When Is Friendship Class?

Our class kicks off on Monday, September 24, and we meet the first three Mondays of the month, taking the fourth week off as a week of peace and rest! We meet at 7pm in the sanctuary and go until approximately 8pm.

Why does Shalom Host Friendship?

We believe that God includes people of all abilities into His family. We seek, as members of that family, to help integrate everyone from our family into a time of worshiping God together.  The best way to reflect Christ here on earth is to include all people of all abilities in worship and that is what Friendship aims to do!
